In 1994, Charlie Masala recognised the need for people of all races in South Africa to hear the message of the Kingdom of God. A student at Technikon Northern Transvaal (TNT) at the time, he managed to organise a conference on campus with Dr Myles Munroe as the keynote speaker. Charlie had already been exposed to Munroe’s teachings and he felt that the Kingdom message of unity, reconciliation and leadership was a timely one. Charlie was right.
The conference at TNT was a great success and Dr. Munroe even agreed to mentor him!
Over the next two decades, Charlie and Xoli Masala hosted Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth during their many visits to Africa. Charlie was appointed President of Myles Munroe International–Africa and he travelled together with Dr Myles to speaking engagements around the world.
They grew close and Dr Munroe often used to say, “I believe that God had me in mind when he created Charlie Masala!” This personal mentorship exposed Charlie to Myles Munroe’s extraordinary knowledge and understanding on many key topics.

Charisa and Chairo Myles Munroe Jr woke up Sunday morning in a happy family, complete with father and mother ─ but they went to bed same day as orphans. It could not have been a more traumatic experience for the young college graduates.
Their father, Myles Munroe, was a global icon who coached millions about discovering their purpose in life and fulfilling their destiny. He was a pastor, author, motivational speaker and leadership consultant across the world.
His wife, Ruth, was also on the doomed flight which crashed on approach near Grand Bahama International Airport, killing all the nine passengers on board.
Not much is known about Chairo, who is yet to speak on this tragic family accident.
He last updated his status on this facebook page in August 2013, but he has many pictures indicating that he loves travelling and seeing sights.
In one of the pictures, he was standing close to a young tiger, indicating that he might be one for adventure. It appears he wanted to give the tiger a kiss.
Chairo is the younger of the two children and there is every reason to believe he is not married yet, just like the sister.
