As Seen through Brunos Eyes: The Universal Problem of Poverty
Throughout this semester, Ive been heavily immersed in a plethora of genius work. A particular piece that caught my interest was the film The Bicycle Thief. Not only was this film able to address the universal problem of poverty, but heavily appeal to my emotions. Without a doubt this was achieved through the presence of the courageous and loyal character, Bruno, who served as a reminder of my upbringing. When I was younger, my brother and I witnessed my mother struggle to live a bearable life. By the end of this film, I was not only shedding tears for the mishaps of the Ricci family, but for the struggles I faced in the past. Poverty will always be relevant and this film reminds its audience of the consequences it can have.
